"I am a graphic designer and contemporary impressionist oil painter of what I call, not-so-still life. Life never sits still; it is a living organism of energy and light spinning in perpetual motion. Energy extends beyond visual boundaries of shape to connect and dance with all that surrounds. My objective is a portrayal of the movement and sense of spirit.

I find joy in simple ordinary things around me, and am fascinated by the play of light, shadow and reflections of color. I work in contemplative solitude to hear all that is being revealed by a subject.

My paintings are painted wet-on-wet in bold loose brush stokes, laying down one delicious spot or note of color or tone of color, one next to another until they merge into a symphony.

I will spend the rest of my life learning to listen. I am just one very insignificant instrument in this world, the privilege of capturing it in paint I credit to the master Creator."

I am a member of Oil Painter's of America. Please visit my blog: www.headondownthehighway.blogspot.com
