Nancy Parsons' painting "Shuttered Repose" has been juried into the Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) 33rd Juried Membership Exhibition. VAA is one of Houston's leading art organizations. The opening reception is on Wed., Sept. 23 in the Smith Street Concourse Gallery located at 1600 Smith Street, Houston, TX 77002.

Parsons' painting was selected from more than 450 submissions. Juror for the exhibition is Gus Kopriva, owner of Redbud Gallery in Houston. Mr. Kopriva selected 66 works that will be on display at 1600 Smith Street through Saturday, November 22.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Wednesday, September 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. Awards of more than $2,500 in cash prizes will be presented at 7:00 p.m. to the winning artists. This is the 74th professionally juried exhibit which VAA has produced since its founding in 1981.
