This series of endangered species was created in the early 1980s. My goal was to capture the souls and spirits of our mute neighbors with whom we share the planet. I was captivated and haunted by the frank eyes of all of these creatures, so human in their longing and need, pleading silently for their futures and ultimate survival. While many species remain under threat of extinction, the Bald Eagle was removed from the list of endangered species in Aug. 2007.

"I am a graphic designer and contemporary impressionist oil painter of what I call, not-so-still life. Life never sits still; it is a living organism of energy and light spinning in perpetual motion. Energy extends beyond visual boundaries of shape to connect and dance with all that surrounds. My objective is a portrayal of the movement and sense of spirit. I find joy in simple ordinary things around me, and am fascinated by the play of light, shadow and reflections of color. I work in contemplative solitude to hear all that is being revealed by a subject.
